Obituary

Oct 22,1954 Bridgette Marie Richardson danced into the world gracing Emma Davis and Curtis Young Jr. in Memphis, later to be adopted by Louella Ford (Curtis Jr.’s sister). She set her eyes on seeing the world after graduation she joined the military in 1979, traveling to different states until she landed in Hanau, Germany. There she gave birth in August 1982 to her first daughter NaTashia Nicole Richardson, after having her she traveled back to the states and finished her military service in 1983 as a E4 in Ft. Jackson, SC. She then traveled to Washington state attending Tacoma Community College perusing criminal justice. Later going to school for her CNA. She worked in every nursing home there was in Tacoma, working with Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients, she had a passion for it, caring for the vulnerable. In December 1989 she gave birth to her only son Anthony Cordero France. She finished her nursing career and started working for Tacoma school district as a cook/lunch lady for several years retiring in 2001.

Bridgette’s pride and joy are her grandchildren Ra’Shad Richardson, Za’Riyah Benson, KaMaya France, Ni’Siah Richardson. She also loved her dogs Bella, SaSha, and Armani..

Bridgette would always light up a room with her loud voice and big smile and even bigger heart. She was “Mama Bridgette” to everyone. She loved going to her favorite chicken spot Hans...She also recently committed to the Lord at Bethel Baptist Church. Bridgette loved to give to others, as she would say I love to bless those like I’ve been blessed. Her heart was extremely huge! She loved to cook, she feed any and everyone who crossed her path. She loved life she showed in in how she dressed from her sparkling earrings to her rings on every finger wearing her signature colors Red, purple and cheetah print and her finger nails done with 24 k gold color.

Bridgette took her last dance June 14,2026 at home…
