Donta was born in Flint Michigan. He is Preceded by his parents Maria Lynch and Curtis Lee Richard.  Donta moved to Seattle, Washington as a young boy.  His smile lit up a room and his laughter complemented his dimples.  Donta was affectionately known by his nickname D-Nutt.  he will forever be remembered for his light hearted and energetic persona . He enjoyed reading the Seattle Times while drinking coffee. His favorite T.V. show was the Young & The Restless and his favorite snack was pretzels.  Donta's Children are his world. He let them know he loved them the most.  Donta is also survived by his two children: daughter, Dalayjha Jhavae Bell-Richard, age 25, son Dantè Marcell Barquet-Richard, age 19 , nine siblings: Chekari Petty, Kanisha Richard, Jennifer Renfro, Satia Leatherberry, Markiesha Linear, Miandra Linear,  Takyrah Richard, O'Shae Richard, Da'Johntae Richard. He also leaves behind Aunt Judith, Uncle Mike Senior and Le Ghea Richard, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11am New Hope Baptist Church 124 21st Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. Services by Scott Funeral Home  Tacoma.
