In loving Memory of Rook Jewell
March 15, 1993 – June 13, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Rook Jewell, who left this world far too soon on June 13, 2026, at the age of 33.
Born on March 15, 1993, Rook grew up in University Place, Washington, where he spent his childhood with his sister and lifelong best friend. they shared summers at Chambers Creek, family barbecues, and countless adventures that became treasured memories. From an early age, Rook lived with passion and courage. He climbed onto his first dirt bike at age four and was racing with the AMA by the age of five. His remarkable talent took him to the Loretta Lynn Nationals, where he competed among the nation’s best. Racing was a lifelong passion he shared with his father, Flip, and the miles they traveled together created memories that will live on forever. George’s creativity extended far beyond the track. Music was one of the greatest passions of his life, especially the EDM community that became like a second family to him. He loved discovering new artists, helping manage and support musicians, creating his own music, and spending time behind the DJ booth sharing his love of music with others. Whether he was mixing tracks, encouraging an artist, or simply enjoying a show with friends, music was where his soul came alive.
Rook was preceded in death by his father, Flip; his grandparents, George and Ramona of University Place, Washington; and other loved ones who welcomed him home. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Sabra Kelly; his sister and lifelong best friend, Samantha Jewell of Tacoma, Washington; his sister, Ashleigh Shain, and her daughter, Monroe, of Bozeman, Montana; his older brother, Max King, of Spokane, Washington; his aunt and uncle, Jim and Shanyn Wasam, of Spokane, Washington; and countless relatives, dear friends, fellow racers, musicians, and all whose lives were brighter because he was part of them.
George had a magnetic personality, a fearless spirit, and a heart that connected deeply with the people around him. He loved wholeheartedly, laughed often, and left a lasting impression everywhere he went. His family and friends will remember his adventurous nature, his loyalty, his passion for the things he loved, and the unforgettable memories he created with those closest to him.
Though our grief is deep, we are grateful for the years we shared and the love Rook gave so freely. We will remember him for his music, his racing, his infectious laughter, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew and loved him.
George will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
“Those we love don’t go away; they ride beside us every
day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved,
still missed, and forever dear.”
Ride free, Rook. May the roads of Heaven be endless,
the music never stop, and may you forever rest in the
peace and love of God. Until we meet again, you will be
loved, missed, and remembered every single day. the
shirt off her back without a second thought.
