Obituary

Joseph Edward Ferguson was born on May 27, 1981, and at the age of eight, he made the most important decision of his life—confessing Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joining Bethlehem Baptist Church. His faith became a steady foundation, guiding him through life with humility, hope, and purpose.

On December 30, God called Joseph from labor to reward. Though his passing was tragic and unexpected, his life stands as a testimony of love, service, and faith. Joseph Edward Ferguson was 44 years old from Tacoma, Washington.

Joseph was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, in 1981 to Charles Edward Ferguson and Jennifer Ferguson, and he was the second oldest of three boys. Joseph was educated at Curtis High School, where he played soccer. Following his time at Green River Community College, Joe began his employment at Comcast as a Call Center Supervisor. Joseph Edward Ferguson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and St. Johns Baptist Church before joining Seed of Life in 2002. In 2008, while a member of Seed of Life, he underwent training to become a Deacon at the church.

Joseph’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. Joseph lived a vibrant and colorful life. He laughed deeply, loved fully, and gave generously. His passing leaves a silence where his voice once was—but also a legacy of memories that continue to speak.

He was taken far too soon, with dreams unfinished and love still to give, yet his impact remains undeniable. Though Joseph’s earthly journey has ended, his story continues—in every memory shared, every prayer whispered, and every life he touched. His love lives on through his daughters, his family, and all who knew him.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
