He leaves behind his loving children: Phyllis, Joseph (Sharon), Helen (Arthur), Lisa (Dewayne), and Jason (Kelly).
One of Joseph’s greatest joys in life was being “Papa” to his beloved grandchildren: Kiesha, Demar, Taneesha, Sharlene, Caleb, Javonnte, Malia, Joseph, Naja, Empress, Jahsan, and Kahsiem. He was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of E-5 Tech Sergeant (TSgt). During his years of service, he was stationed both throughout the United States and overseas, faithfully serving his country with honor and dedication.
Following his military service, Joseph continued a lifetime of hard work and service to others. He retired from Frito-Lay ,where he became affectionately known as “the chip man” by children and everyone who knew him. He also retired from Ramon Hall after many years of dedicated work. Joseph was truly one of the hardest working men anyone could ever meet, always providing for his family while serving others with humility and care.
Joseph also had a deep love for music and singing from a young age. In his twenties, he performed in a singing group and later continued sharing his love of music for decades as a devoted member of the church choir.
