Khiree Shakur
Johnson - Scott
November 17, 1993 – April 23, 2026
Khiree Shakur Johnson-Scott was born on November 17, 1993, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was the son of Quenettelia “Pie” Johnson and Henry Smith, and was also raised by his dad, William Watson. Khiree was lovingly raised by his grandmother, Mary Scott, who played a major role in shaping the man he became.
Khiree was a devoted husband to his wife, Diessa Johnson-Scott, and a proud father to his four children: Khamir Johnson-Scott-Burks, Daniel Johnson-Scott, Nakhilah Johnson-Scott, and Finesse Johnson-Scott. Khiree loved his family deeply, and they meant everything to him.
He is survived by his siblings Martea Johnson, Amirah Williams, Sharif Johnson, Aceca Johnson-Scott, and Williams Watson-Scott. He was preceded in death by his mother, Quenettelia “Pie” Johnson, and his uncle, Khalil Shamsid-Deen.
During his life, Khiree had a strong passion for basketball. He played for many years in the AAU basketball league throughout middle and high school. The game was something he truly enjoyed and built many memories through.
Khiree will be remembered for the love he gave, the role he played in his family, and the impact he had on those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Message from Khiree
Yo, don’t stand there in black, drowning in tears,I’m finally free of all the stress and the fears. No more grind, no more tough days on the street,Just paradise vibes, check my new heartbeat. If you gotta think of me, think of the laughs,Not the bad times, or the sad aftermaths.I’m in a better place, watching over all of you.So keep your head up, be happy and true.I took the exit, I got my new wings,Living on top, enjoying better things. So dry your eyes, man, and light up the sky,I’m never truly gone—it’s just a “see you later and not a good bye.”
