In Loving Memory of Levi Gaston

July 13, 1953 – October 4, 2026

Levi Gaston was born on July 13, 1953, in Greenwood, Mississippi, to the late Clent Sr and Treola Gaston. He was the second oldest of nine children. Although he was born in Mississippi, Levi called Seattle, Washington, his home, having moved there at just four years old.

Growing up as one of nine siblings, Levi developed a deep appreciation for family. Family was an important part of his life, and he carried that love with him throughout the years. He was a devoted father and grandfather, a loving brother, a caring uncle, and a man whose heart had room for many.

Levi was the proud father of one daughter, Keisha Gaston Reynolds, one grandson Rico whom he loved dearly. He also had two beloved fur sons, Soleil and Poncho, who brought him companionship and joy.

Throughout his working years, Levi worked as a longshoreman, a mechanic, and a dog trainer. He was a hardworking man who dedicated himself to his work and the things that mattered most to him. Above all, Levi was a God-fearing man whose faith was an important part of his life.

One of the special things about Levi was the bond he shared with his nieces and nephews. His love for them went far beyond the ordinary relationship between an uncle and his family. He had the opportunity to live with four of his nieces: Christina, affectionately known as “Pumpkin”; Stephanie, lovingly called “Bit”; Mecca, known as “Squeak”; and Otasha, affectionately called “Tosh.”

Levi took great pleasure in helping guide, support, and raise their children, his grandnieces and grandnephews. He loved and cared for them as though they were his own. Through his presence, guidance, and love, he helped shape their lives and create memories that will remain with them for years to come.

Levi was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Clent Sr and Treola Gaston; his three sisters, Josephine, Ernestine, and Treola Jr.; and his two brothers, Willie C. Gaston and Clent Gaston 2nd. His beloved fur son Soleil

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his three surviving sisters, Rosie, Connie, and Marsha; his daughter, Keisha Gaston Reynolds; grandson Rico and his beloved fur son, Poncho; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though Levi's earthly journey has come to an end, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

His family will forever cherish the moments they shared with him, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. Levi will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
