 Mike brought intelligence, kindness and compassion into the lives of everyone who knew him. He was born in the Bronx, NY in 1964, and grew up in Queens, NY and Chicago, IL. Mike moved the PNW around 1993, where he lived until his passing on July 23, 2026. He loved board games, (Go most of all), music of all genres, animals, archery, computer games, computer science, snow boarding, sea kayaking, riding motorcycles, the great outdoors, tutoring, current events and politics. Mike was a passionate musician; however, carpal tunnel syndrome severely restricted his ability to play after his 30s. He could play almost any instrument he put time into, but he was particularly talented playing the violin and electric bass- he could easily discern perfect pitch and often tuned his bandmates instruments and his mother’s guitar. He was also a voracious reader, one of his favorite books being “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”. He could argue either side of a debate with ease (sometimes infuriatingly so), and he will be remembered most for his intense curiosity, his love of helping and supporting people of all walks of life, excruciatingly terrible puns and the invaluable tech support he provided to EVERYONE. Mike is survived by his wife, Helen, his brother Ted, his father Vincent, his stepmother Loyd, his nieces Monica and Katrina, and his nephew Patrick, along with countless beloved cousins, one uncle, aunts, and other family members.
