Penelope Collins was born on June 2, 1940, to Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell (both preceded her in death), the fourth of seven siblings.  Her sisters, Mildred  Colman,  Juanita Hicks, Lillian Powell, and Janet       Hanning also preceded her in death.  Her sisters Aline Notario and    Barbara (Curtis) Parker and her brother Kenneth Mitchell survive.

Penelope Collins married Charlie Collins on March 12, 1960, in  Chicago Illinois, and had seven  children:  Adrienne (John) Casteele, Charles  Collins, Wayeneta (James) Card, Vanessa Collins, and Catisha Clark   survive.  Michael (who died in infancy) and Reginald Collins preceded their mother in death.  Adopted children are Cheryl Bay,  Zshoni Noales, and Wanda Manning.

Mrs. Collins is also survived by grandchildren Michael Floyd Collins, Marguerite (Larry) Cross, John Casteele III, Alecia (Seneca) Hector, Eddie George, Paul George, Colton Casteele, Gordon Casteele, Michael Taylor, Nikita Taylor, Princetta Taylor, Tamika Dyson, Rogers Clark Jr., James Clark, Shakria Bingham, and Isaac Collins and 25+ great grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held 1pm,  Saturday January 28, 2023 at Lamb of God Christian Community Church 711 S 25th St, Tacoma, WA
