On March 6th, 2026, Paul passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord, while in the hospital, due to chronic illnesses.

Paul was born in Eureka, CA on August 13th 1938 to Thomas J and Agnes H (Klippen) Morris. He was a proud 1956 graduate of Stadium High School. Paul enlisted in the Air Force, where he especially enjoyed his time stationed in Japan. He returned from Japan and soon married Kathy (Dillon), and had children Tim and Joan.

Paul graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1968, returning to UPS and receiving his Masters in 1977. He taught 5th and 6th grades for Tacoma Schools, where his students remember his high expectations and also the fun and creativity he brought to the classroom.

While teaching, Paul was able to fulfill a life long dream to become a National Park Ranger. He worked at Mt. Rainier, Yosemite and Olympic National Parks. Paul was also a Deputy US Marshall. While a Ranger at Sol Duc Hot Springs, Paul met the love of his life Cindy Johnson.

He retired from the School District while working as the Director of Employee Benefits, later becoming a consultant for Davis Vision.

Paul belonged to and was involved with many organizations, especially the Afifi Shrine. Paul loved fishing, camping, boating, cruising, and traveling in Europe. He was adventurous, outgoing, and could easily talk to others. Paul lived life to the fullest.

Paul was preceded in death by sisters Lucille Olsson and Judy Toney. Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Cindy; his children Marlene Gardner (Dan), Tim Morris (Kim), Joan Martin (Shane Roulst); grandchildren Trevor Martin (Randee Autrand), Jackie Martin, Erika Morris and Kristoffer Morris and great-grandchild Beatrix Martin.
