Ruth Evelyn Barnes Kelly-McIntyre

Dr. Ruth Evelyn Barnes Kelly-McIntyre came into this world with the sunrise on February 28, 1938 and departed with the sunset February 1, 2017.

Dr. Ruth Evelyn Barnes Kelly-McIntyre was born to the union of Arthur and Ruth Lucille Barnes in New Orleans, LA. She was the first born and only girl in her family.

"Dr. Ruth," as she was affectionately known throughout the world, was an accomplished musician.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Robert McIntyre, daughter, Kimberly Tarver, brother, Rev. Leroy Barnes, two grandchildren, Timothy and Alanta, and six great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:00 am, at St. Johns Transformational Church (2001 S. J Street, Tacoma WA, 98405).

Viewing will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 9:30 am and 7:00 pm at House of Scott.
