Susie Mae Hendrix was born Susie Mae Hodge on August 6, 1929 in Americus, Georgia. She had three children; Charlie”Charles” Will Westbrook Jr., Linda “Lin” Westbrook and George G. Hendrix Jr. She was called home to the Lord on December 22, 2025. Preceding Susie in death are her husband George G. Hendrix Sr., sister Lee Artis Ingram Jones, daughter Linda Westbrook and son George G. Hendrix Jr.

Susie was raised by her older sister Lee Artis and later in life, lived with her until she passed in 2001. Susie was deeply loved by her community. In her active years, she loved to travel and practice tai chi. In recent years, she enjoyed watching game shows like The Price Is Right and Family Feud, especially when Steve Harvey was on. Susie was a positive light to her family and everyone who knew her. She was always checking in on loved ones, making sure they were doing well. With a sharp memory, she never forgot birthdays or special occasions. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh that brought joy to all around her.

Susie is survived by her son Charlie Will Westbrook Jr., grandchildren Will Westbrook III, Robert Westbrook, Eddie Westbrook, Doralynn Westbrook, Jasmine Westbrook, and Anthony Westbrook.

Also cherishing her memories are her great grandchildren Robert Westbrook Jr., Donovan Westbrook, Sisquo Westbrook, Raineza Westbrook, Jevon Westbrook, Jenessa Eagen, Jaxon Roberts, Eisley Roberts, Kayden Westbrook, Zain Westbrook and great great grandchildren Propser Johnson, Stiles Westbrook and Aliana Westbrook..
