William "Bill" Payne Jr., 69, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 6, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington. He was the local go-to person for landscaping projects. There are many spots around Pierce County that have been beautified by his gift.   He was very kind and always willing to help others even when he did not have it to give.

He loved a good laugh and good food. His friends and family were important to him. Even children were drawn to his kind and humble nature. Often you would see small children waving at him yelling "Hi Mr. Bill". He would wave back at them. He was a person that believed in kind gestures. Bill would do something that he knew would bring a smile to your face.

He will be missed……

A celebration of his life and memory will be held 12pm, February 19, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home.
